LANDSCAPE INFRASTRUCTURE

The Landscape Infrastructure Lab works with public authorities, industrial agencies and private stakeholders towards the design and development of strategies dealing with infrastructure and landscape. Landscape Infrastructure represents the convergence of the systems of public works & utilities, industrial activities, agricultural operations, waste generation and the systems of hydrological, vegetal and geological processes that underlie patterns of urban development. The Landscape Infrastructure Project is dedicated to the research, design and application of strategies that address the multi-dimensional and complex nature of these systems towards amplifying the dual objectives of economic performance and ecological durability. Collaborations include municipalities, provincial and federal agencies, universities, foundations, and corporations involved in land development and environmental engineering related to the industries of waste disposal, water management, energy exploration, food security and transport systems. Partnerships capitalize on multidisciplinary expertise and multilateral resources to achieve collective and respective objectives. The Landscape Infrastructure Lab is directed by Pierre Bélanger.
